Inspectors have no data about involvement of Dagestan president's son in Radchenko's kidnapping

Today, Kasumbek Amirbekov, head of the Investigatory Department for the Republic of Dagestan of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of the Russian Federation, has stated that the investigation possesses no data about involvement of Gadzhimurad Aliev, son of the Republic's President and deputy head of the Department of the Federal Taxation Service (DFTS) for Dagestan, in kidnapping of Vladimir Radchenko.

Mr Amirbekov has disclosed a number of details related to the failed appointment of Vladimir Radchenko to the position on the DFTS head.

According to his story, told with reference to Mr Radchenko's words, the latter was kidnapped from the office of the currently acting DFTS head Magomed Guseinov by two men of sportive body-build. One of them pressed an object to his back, which, in Radchenko's opinion, was a pistol, and ordered him to go out. After Radchenko refused, the kidnappers screwed his arms and forced him out of the building. They took a taxi, and when the car reached the Imam Shamil Avenue, in the vicinity of "Olymp" restaurant, they set Radchenko free and advised to leave Dagestan immediately; otherwise, he could be murdered.

Kasumbek Amirbekov has added that on February 6 Vladimir Radchenko filed an application to the Sovietskiy District Investigatory Division of the city of Makhachkala of the ICPO about his kidnapping and threats to him from the two unidentified persons.

The head of the Republic's Investigatory Department has stated that there were no traces of damage or other violence on Radchenko's body and clothes; therefore now the inquiry checks both versions - about his kidnapping and about his staging the kidnapping.
