In Chechnya, boys born at night on March 9 to get 50,000 roubles

The boys born in Chechnya on the birthday of Prophet Mohammed will get 50,000 roubles each, President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said in a press conference today.

"I'll ask their parents to give them the name of Mohammed," said Mr Kadyrov.

This year, the birthday of Prophet Mohammed will be marked at night on March 9. The population of the Republic will receive 10,000 bags of flour and sugar, and 10,000 of needy people will be awarded with 5000 roubles each. Besides, as the ITAR-TASS reports, at night on March 9, till the dawn and morning prayer, fireworks will operate in all large cities of the Republic in honour of the Prophet's birthday.

"The Chechen Republic will have a great holiday, where almost all the Muftis and religious figures of Northern Caucasus were invited; they will serve religious rites in honour of the Prophet's birthday," the GZT.ru quotes the words of the Chechen President.
