Chechnya builds a copy of "Heart of Chechnya" Mosque

In the village of Tsentaroy, known as the clannish settlement of Chechnya's President Ramzan Kadyrov, a copy of the "Heart of Chechnya" Mosque, erected last year in Grozny (capable to house 10,000 believers at a time, the largest in Europe) is now being built. The mosque in Tsentaroy will house about seven thousand believers.

A spokesman of the Spiritual Authority of Moslems of Chechnya said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent: "The work is done by the same Turkish specialists who built the 'Heart of Chechnya' Mosque in Grozny. As far as I know, the mosque is planned to be finished by the end of this year."

However, not all Chechen residents are happy with the project. Firstly, many of them find it strange that such a huge complex is built in a small village known to very few in Chechnya before the Kadyrovs came to power. Secondly, not all the Chechens welcome such great attention given by President to his clannish village.
