Head of Russia's "Minprirody": shame to show Olympic sites to Putin

The Olympic construction sites in Sochi are in awful condition, as Yuri Trutnev, head of the Ministry for Natural Resources and Environment Protection ("Minprirody"), stated at the sitting of the Federal Technical Inspection Committee ("Rostekhnadzor") on Friday, March 6.

"I'm ashamed to show these photos to Prime Minister, but I'll show them," Mr Trutnev has added.
In the opinion of "Minprirody", it is necessary to eliminate all the deficiencies as soon as possible, by relying on our own analysis and not waiting for the criticisms of the IOC (International Olympic Committee), as the "Interfax" reports.

Otherwise, as the Minister has emphasized, the IOC experts "point a finger to these objects" and say that "Russia, which had undertaken to erect ecologically cleanest objects, can't build at all and treats the environment in the ugliest way."

The "Olympstroy" has refused to make comments on Mr Trutnev's statement, as the "Echo Moskvy" reports. Officials of the Corporation report that all the projects are realized under the plan and in interaction with ecological organizations.
