Fans give "nationalist colouring" to football matches of Caucasian teams

The day 3 matches of the Russian football premier league with participation of the clubs representing Northern Caucasus - matches of Grozny "Terek" versus Moscow "Dynamo" and Nalchik "Spartak" versus Moscow "Spartak" - could not do without scandalous incidents with nationalistic context.

On April 4, football team "Terek" from Chechnya defeated Moscow "Dynamo" in Grozny 1:0 and has headed the tournament. In its turn, on April 5, "Spartak-Nalchik" lost to "Spartak" in Moscow 0:2.

Stadiums, game character and results were different. But there was also something common for the matches - regular scandalous incidents of fans in the stands. In both cases fans of the host teams were "especially active".

During the match on April 5 in Moscow, in "Luzniki" Stadium, fans of Moscow "Spartak" were inventive: they managed to deceive militiamen at the entrance who confiscated abusive posters and banners by bringing in several big sheets of a cardboard with letters drawn on them and at the stands compiled an obscene word with a nationalist context accusing the visiting team and fans of predilection to bestiality.

At the match in Grozny, many fans of the hosting team ignored the minute of silence in memory of Vladimir Fedotov, Moscow "Spartak" coach from May 2006 to June 2007, who died on March 29. They shouted loudly during the minute of silence, blew pipes and produced plenty of noise.
