Trial on the case of Magomed Evloev's death will pass in Ingushetia

The Supreme Court of Ingushetia has recognized lawful the refusal to transfer the trial on the case of the death of Magomed Evloev, owner of the website "Ingushetia.Ru", from the republic to some other subject of the Russian Federation.

"The Supreme Court of the republic has concluded that the case should be considered in Ingushetia, where the crime was committed," said Musa Pliev, who represents the interests of the Evloev family, on April 21.

We remind you that on March 20 the court of Nazran already refused to the defendant in the case to transfer the trial to some other region. This was a request made in late 2008 by the advocate of the defendant - Ibragim Evloev, former head of security of the head of the MIA of Ingushetia. In November 2008, a similar offer was also moved by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

According to Mr Pliev, thus, the court has rejected the protest of the Prosecutor's Office against the respective decision of the District Court of Ingushetia, and it has entered its legal force. "In the next few days, the date of the start of the consideration of the criminal case on the merits will be appointed," the "Interfax" Agency quotes Musa Pliev as saying.
