Court made proceedings on Metro terror acts classified

The criminal case on terror acts near the "Rizhskaya" Moscow Metro station and in the train car between the "Avtozavodskaya" and "Paveletskaya" stations will be heard by a sole judge in a closed trial. Anna Usachova, press secretary of the Moscow City Court, reported today that "since the documents in the case files are labelled "Classified," the trial will be held in the closed regime."

In her words, "the defendants themselves petitioned about the trial of their case by a professional judge," the ITAR-TASS informs.

Consideration on the merits is appointed on November 7.

As a result of the "Avtozavodskaya" act on February 6, 2004, 41 persons died and about 250 more were injured. On August 31, 2004, at the "Rizhskaya" station, a self-made bomb was exploded. As a result, 10 persons were killed including the woman-suicide bomber herself.
