Azerbaijani ex-minister of public health accuses authorities of murdering ex-minister of education

At today's trial on the case of Ali Insanov, ex-minister of public health of Azerbaijan, the defendant made another sensational statement. This time, he has accused the authorities of political assassination of Rafik Feizullaev, former minister of education.

In Mr. Insanov's words, Feizullaev was murdered in prison after he had accused Ms. Fatma Abdullahzade, head of the humanitarian policies department of the president's administration, of corruption.

They tried to explain Feizullaev's death by a heart disease. "But he had a healthy heart, I examined him," Ali Insanov said.

"The ruling regime is Rafik Feizullaev's killer, and I want to warn that my heart is healthy," Ali Insanov has meaningfully added.

The former minister has also stated that he stopped the hunger strike that he had declared earlier. Mr. A. Insanov has emphasized that he had decided to resort to the measure (hunger strike) since some of his demands were not fulfilled.
