Agasi Enokyan: negotiation process on Karabakh settlement is fruitless

Making his comments on the present situation in the negotiating process aimed to settle the Karabakh conflict, political scientist Agasi Enokyan, Director of the Armenian Centre for Political and International Studies, has informed journalists about the deadlock in the negotiating process.

"The Armenian party has lost all its former arguments, and now is able to claim even less points than several years ago," Mr Enokyan has stated.

The political scientist is convinced that today it is necessary to seriously deal with demographic problems in Nagorno-Karabakh, since during the recent two decades the population of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has shrunk by almost 70 percent.

We remind you that these days the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group are at their visit to the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict zone. The visit started on September 14 and will last for 5 days. Yesterday, on September 16, the commission arrived to Nagorno-Karabakh.
