Broadcasts on Islam are still removed from TV in Azerbaijan

The Public TV of Azerbaijan will no longer broadcast the religious program "Friday Talks." People from the TV Channel have informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about it. The reason of the decision was not disclosed, and reference was made to renovation of the on-air broadcasting schedule.

Within the recent week two other religious programs have been removed from the Public TV, and one more - from radio broadcasting.

  • Students demand to release actors detained at protests in Tbilisi

    In Tbilisi, protesters intentionally went out into the streets wearing masks, thereby violating the recently introduced ban. Students from two universities have joined the demands to release actors Andro Chichinadze and Vepkhiya Kasradze, who are accused of participating in group violence.
