Resident of Moscow sentenced to 14 years in colony for attacking citizens of Azerbaijan and Kirghizia

Yesterday, the Moscow City Court sentenced three residents of Moscow - Sergey Beryakov, Sergey Ushakov and minor Alexander Seryogin, who were found guilty of attacks and murder on the motives of national intolerance and kindling of ethnic enmity.

The Court has established that on August 24, 2006, near the metro station "Altufyevo" Sergey Beryakov acting together with "the persons unidentified by the investigation" committed severe beatings and slashed with "piercing and cutting objects" water-melon seller Guliev, the "Kommersant" newspaper writes today.

In October of the same year, one of the convicts, also acting together with "unidentified persons" attacked a native of Kirghizia. In the same month, all three of them took part in murdering another Kirghiz by inflicting 42 piercing and cutting wounds to him.

Yesterday, the Moscow City Court found them guilty and sentenced Sergey Beryakov, Sergey Ushakov and minor Alexander Seryogin to 14, 3 and 9 years of imprisonment in colony, respectively. Besides, the Court ruled to collect 400,000 roubles from the convicts in favour of the victim's brother.
