People's Party holds rally opposite US Embassy in Georgia
Today, the People's Party has held a rally near the building of the US Embassy in the capital of Georgia, having accused the USA of supporting the election falsifications.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that Koba Davitashvili, leader of the People's Party, has addressed the audience of the action who gathered opposite the US Embassy to Georgia.
"But for the support of the United States America, no election falsification would have happened in Georgia. Indeed, the US government kept their eyes closed on numerous violations admitted in Georgia. But now I address the American people: remember that the Georgian people will not just let any falsifications, intimidations or terror. The Georgian people support democracy, they want no more falsifications and violence," Mr Davitashvili has declared.
We note here that nobody has come out from the Embassy to the rallied people during the whole action.
The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that on January 20 the Georgian opposition held a protest action dated to Mikhail Saakashvili's inauguration day. Observers say that the action rallied together some 150,000 persons.
