Advocate for Magomed Evloev, murdered in Ingushetia, refuses to get acquainted with case files
The murder case of Magomed Evloev, owner of the website "Ingushetia.Ru", oppositional to the Ingush authorities, will go to the court in the near future.
The Chief Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation for the South Federal District has finished the investigation. This fact was reported by Musa Pliev, advocate of Evloev's family, who is now in Nazran, as the "Caucasian Knot" has already informed, and defends the interests of Magomed Evloev's widow.
We remind you that on September 23 Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia Yuri Turygin announced that the range of suspects had been defined, but the names were not disclosed in the interests of the investigation.
Mr Pliev told the "Interfax" that he was informed today by the inspector about the end of the investigation and was asked to get acquainted with the case files. However, the lawyer has noted that the defence has refused to get acquainted with these materials.
"We boycott the investigation. In our opinion, it is aimed at concealing the circumstances of this crime. We outgo from the fact that it was a wilful crime," the lawyer has noted.
Besides, the defence party "has challenged the inspector in charge of the case", since they think "he is interested in a definite outcome", said Mr Pliev on air of the "Echo Moskvy" Radio. "According to our data, the inspector is under pressure," the lawyer has added.
"We've lodged pretty many petitions, and we think that the investigation has failed to undertake important actions to establish the reasons of the crime and those guilty. To our question why Evloev's widow was not in the case as a victim, the inspector said that he saw no sense in it," said Mr Pliev.
According to the lawyer, the investigation made other violations, in particular, "the suffered party was deprived of the information on the case from the very beginning."
