In Ingushetia, mother seeks protection of her son from power agents

Petimat Archakovа asks to defend the rights of her son Magomed Archakov suspected of concealing militants. Currently, he is kept at the IVS (temporary detention facility) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia and, according to his mother's statement, is exposed to torture.

According to Petimat's application, submitted to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", Magomed Archakov is in a heavy physical condition. She asserts that he was severely beaten by power agents, who forced him to confess of committing a crime.

The pretext to Magomed's detention was that an unknown armed man was detected in the trailer in his land plot, where he is raising young bull-calves. However, according to Magomed's mother, her son is just raising calves cannot know, where that armed man came from.

In her application, Petimat Archakovа asks to defend the rights of her son and punish those who had tortured him; she also asks to force the leaders of the local MIA to promptly hospitalize Magomed.
