Terrorist who exploded himself in Chechen capital belonged to unit of "Shatrala"

The suicide terrorist Rustam Mukhadiyev who made an explosion on the evening of July 26 near the concert hall in Grozny, was member of the unit headed by field commander Usman Muntsigov, better known as "Shatral", claim Chechen law enforcement agencies.

As the "Caucasian Knot" has already reported, the Chechen MoIA announced today the name of the suicide terrorist who committed a terrorist act on July 26 in the Chechen capital. It is asserted that the terrorist Rustam Mukhadiyev, resident of the town of Argun, was an active member of armed units and was in the federal wanted list for having committed a number of serious crimes.

"Mukhadiyev was member of the band headed by Usman Muntsigov, better known as "Shatral". Muntsigov himself is in the federal wanted list. In particular, in June 2008 he headed the attack of bandits on the village of Benoi-Vedeno, Nozhai-Urt district, which resulted in shooting three civilians, burning five houses and two cars belonging to law enforcement officers", said a source at the Chechen law enforcement agencies to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the officer, in autumn 2007 the militants of "Shatral" attacked a convoy of law enforcement officers killing four and wounding 16 persons.
