Members of 4th Congress of International Circassian Association appealed to Vladimir Putin and Leonid Kuchma with request to lift sanctions against Abkhazia

The 4th Congress of the International Circassian Association has finished its work in Nalchik. The delegates of the Congress appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma with the request to lift active sanctions of the CIS countries against Abkhazia.

The appeal says, in particular, "the post-war situation in Abkhazia has convinced us that the policy of force pressure and isolation of the multinational population of Abkhazia from the outer world has made the process of negotiations even more complicated". In this context, the delegates called for all obstacles in the realization of the Sochi agreements to be eliminated.
