Oppositional businessman wants to adjudge 220 million euros from Armenia

The European Court on Human Rights (ECtHR) has accepted to consideration the complaint lodged on behalf of the "Bzhni" Mineral Water Factory, belonging to the oppositional activist Khachatur Sukiasyan, against the Republic of Armenia. The claimant demands compensation of 220 million euros for damage caused to the company.

According to the news from the enterprise, the case No. 41340#09 will be considered by the third branch of the ECtHR; and the Court has suggested the claimant to present a generalized complaint before November 19.

Let us note here that on July 24 the company "Bzhni" and the family of an activist of the opposition and businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan, who was in search in those days, addressed the ECtHR with an estimate of the material and moral damage caused by the state to the "Bzhni" Factory, belonging to the Sukiasyans, as 214 million euros.

Advocate Ara Zograbyan, who represents the interests of the "Bzhni", told journalists that the enterprise suffers losses for a long time because of incessant administrative pressure of state bodies.
