Protest action held in Kabardino-Balkaria after disappearance of three persons

Today, relatives of residents of Kabardino-Balkaria Timur Begidov from Kenzhe village, Ibragim Shogenov and Anzor Nagoev from Dugulubgei village, who on October 2 left for Ufa in a cold storage truck with fruits aiming to sell them there and disappeared, rallied in Nalchik in the square near the House of Government.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the relatives wanted to meet President of the republic Arsen Kanokov; they were very excited and even tried to rush into the House, but were stopped by militiamen.

"If our sons have broken the law, let them be arrested and tried, but we should know about it. And what is now - is lawlessness," said the relatives of the missing people. They are sure that the reason of their disappearance was in their religious beliefs. All three were Moslems; from the viewpoint of law enforcement bodies - Wahhabites.

The President was not in the republic at that moment, but the people were promised that when he comes back, he would receive the relatives. The protesters dispersed after a meeting with Naurbi Zhamborov, deputy interior minister of Kabardino-Balkaria, who firmly promised to do the utmost for searching the missing men.
