Psychologists find suspect of Markelov's murder extremely aggressive

Experts have made a psychological portrait of Evgenia Khasis, 25, a suspect on the case of murdering advocate Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova. In the opinion of psychologists, Evgenia Khasis is very unbalanced and aggressive. Meanwhile, her friends do not believe in her involvement in the resonant murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Moscow City Court had sanctioned arrest of Nikita Tikhonov and Evgenia Khasis, accused of murdering advocate Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova.

In the opinion of psychologists, since her childhood Khasis had developed complexes, which caused her behaviour. "She has suppressed all the womanly feelings in herself and grew up in the aggressive man's type. For this reason, she went in for sport, which demands inflicting traumas and kicks," the "Life News" quotes Evgeniy Shaposhnikov, head of the Centre of Psychological and Social Medicine,

Her fight at a kickboxing competition, the record of which was studied by the experts, brought Evgenia Khasis the title of champion of Moscow. However, that was the end of her sports career. Her coach Alexei Fursov treated Ms Khasis' victory as occasional.

Evgenia's rival in the fight for the title Elena Kazantseva (surname is changed) also believes her victory was not deserved. She recollects that she at once felt some aggression in the sight of her competitor.

Having watched the record of that fight, a doctor of medical sciences could describe in more detail Evgenia Khasis' psychological portrait. "It is seen that she had aspiration for victory and desire to stand out due to her bravery and character toughness," says a highest category doctor-neuropsychiatrist. "By her actions, she reminds extremist's actions. It's sociopathy."

Several days ago, Evgenia Khasis' blog appeared in the Internet; however, attentive Internet users have rather quickly suspected a forgery, as the "Novye Izvestia" writes. "It's a man's blog, just converted into a woman's one. But in some places they have forgotten and left some verbs in the masculine gender. Besides, by its style this blog could not belong to a woman. There are no personal photos. In general, there's nothing personal," said Vladimir Pribylovskiy, head of the Centre "Panorama" and an expert in nationalist movements.

Alexei Baranovskiy, coordinator of the Centre "Russian Verdict", has stated that Evgenia Khasis had no blogs. "The one that appeared in the Internet under her surname was a provocation and imitation," Mr Baranovskiy has stated. He names the arrested girl his good friend and believes that her arrest was "a terrible mistake." "Evgenia worked as our volunteer, she dealt with monitoring of the situation with the arrested members of nationalist organizations, and communicated with advocates. Now, we completely undertake her defence," said Mr Baranovskiy.

Advocate Alexander Vasiliev, known for his defence of nationalist Mikhail Martsinkevich (nickname "Tesak", which means a hatchet), said that some time ago Evgenia Khasis asked him to be her advocate. "She didn't give me the details; and when I learnt that she was detained, I was ready to defend her," he said.

Both Messrs Vasiliev and Baranovskiy cannot guess why Evgenia Khasis and Nikita Tikhonov were in masks at the trial. Alexei Baranovskiy gave his version: "When we've attentively studied the video, we noticed some staggering gait in the detainees. Perhaps, some psychotropic substances were applied to them, the so-called 'whey of truth'. Therefore, the faces were masked, not to reveal any allergic reaction."

However, one of former inspectors moved another reason. According to his story, the suspects' faces could be hidden under decision of the investigation, for instance, if they were not identified by witnesses yet.
