Habsburg dynasty descendant is Georgia's ambassador in Germany

Today, the Georgian parliament has approved Gabriella Habsburg-Lotringen to the position of the new plenipotentiary ambassador of Georgia in Germany. She is a descendant of the dynasty that ruled in Austria.

The "Interfax" writes that Gabriella Habsburg-Lotringen was nominated by President Mikhail Saakashvili; while the "Rosbalt" adds that she will replace Levan Duchidze, the reason of whose recall from the post is not specified.

In 2007, Gabriella Habsburg-Lotringen received Georgian citizenship while preserving her Austrian one, as reported by the ITAR-TASS.
