List of journalists suffered in clashes in Baku

Over 3 thousand supporters of Isa Gambar, who were the chief opposition candidate, went into Baku streets yesterday. At the least, three people were killed and dozens of people got injuries as a result of clashes with the police. While dispersing the demonstration, police officers beat media representatives. The Turan Information Agency published a list of journalists who were covering things happening in Baku and were beaten by the police:

Khayal Babayev, Azadlyg newspaper (batoned);

Shirkhan Agayev, Prognoz newspaper (got blows to the back);

Syarkyarda Sarkhanoglu, Khurriyet newspaper deputy editor-in-chief (head injury);

Nabi Alyshov, Khurriyet newspaper (head injury, taken to hospital);

Adyl Guseynov, Khurriyet newspaper (head injury, taken to hospital);

Takhir Aliyaroglu, Khurriyet newspaper (head injury, taken to hospital);

Tebriz Sadayoglu, Khurriyet newspaper (got a blow to the back);

Nidjat Daglar, Baky Khybyar newspaper (taken to a hospital in grave condition);

Kenul Veliyeva, Baky Khybyar newspaper (batoned);

Metanet Muslimgyzy, Baky Khybyar newspaper (batoned);

Vasim Mamedov, Baky Khybyar newspaper (head injury, taken to hospital, later discharged);

Eynulla Umudov, Gyalyadjak Gyun newspaper (batoned);

Etibar Savalan, Gyalyadjak Gyun newspaper (batoned);

Elza Abyshova, Djumkhuriyet newspaper (taken to hospital);

Mansura Sattarova, Djumkhuriyet newspaper (head injury);

Lala Musa Gyzy, Djumkhuriyet newspaper (head injury);

Afgan Gafarov, Djumkhuriyet newspaper (batoned);

Kenan Rovshanoglu, Djumkhuriyet newspaper (batoned);

Azer Garachenli, an Avropa newspaper correspondent, is missing.
