Two residents of Volgograd Region diagnosed with anthrax

The Regional Department of "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) has reported that two residents of the village of Semichny, Kotelnikov District of the Volgograd Region, were hospitalized with the diagnosis of anthrax.

"The patients were hospitalized in the Volgograd Region Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital," the report says.

The RIA "Novosti" adds with reference to the Department that the patients' condition is satisfactory, the gravity of the disease is mild; and the men are under the adequate health care.

The persons who had contacts with the patients are under medical supervision - for 8 days they will daily examined with measuring their body temperature, the "Interfax" reports.
