Forty persons registered as victims of poisoning at canteen of Makhachkala Airport

The number of victims of poisoning at the canteen of the Makhachkala Airport has reached 40 people. All of them were preliminary diagnosed with 'food poisoning'. Some of the victims are in grave condition, the Department of the "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) of Dagestan.

Let us remind you that on October 17, 10 people, including seven policemen, asked for medical assistance, complaining of indigestion. All of them had lunch at the canteen of the airport of the "Dagestan Airlines".

According to the updated information, during the night and the morning, about 30 people, diagnosed with 'food poisoning', were hospitalized.

"At present, the canteen is sealed, the Makhachkala Transport Prosecutor's Office arranged an inspection," reported Agnessa Savchenko, Senior Assistant of Southern Transport Prosecutor.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the press service of the "Dagestan Airlines" that the canteen, where employees got food poisoning, did not belong to the airline.

"The room of the canteen is rented by a private individual," reported Alexei Gadjiev, the press service officer.

The experts from the "Rospotrebnadzor" are to find out by what kind of food the airport employees got their poisoning. According to the preliminary results of the inspection, all of them ate fish, meat and drank compote.
