Press conference "Competition for Peace Prize" to be held on January 16
The press conference "Competition for Peace Prize" is to take place at the Independent Press Center on January 16. This competition is first announced in Russia. The prize will be presented to Russian peacemakers by Lord Judd, who will arrive from London especially for it. The competition is organized by the Yalta Initiative public association, which consists of 17 NGOs from Chechnya and other regions of Russia. The press conference will be held by Yalta Initiative members: Lipkhan Bazayeva (Memorial), Lidiya Grafova (Migratsiya Information Agency), Zakhid Movlazade (Center for Peacemaking and Community Development), Olga Pochekina (Forum of Emigrant Organizations), and Ivan Sventitsky (Peace Prize Project coordinator).
