After the rally in Lenin Square, protesters went to the building of the Regional Election Commission (REC): at least 300 people reached the building.

Tamara Kozhevnikova, Secretary of the Astrakhan Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), said that her party was filing four claims to the court.

The action was accompanied by enhanced security measures. Law enforcement officials did not allow the protesters to raise their posters at the REC building. There is at least one detainee – Alexander Kirpichenko, a CPRF activist and journalist of the "Astrakhanskaya Pravda".
