In Rostov-on-Don, protest against election results brings together over 500 persons

The rally "For Fair Elections", which was coordinated with the authorities of Rostov-on-Don, attracted more than 500 people, who expressed their disagreement with the outcomes of the elections to the Russian State Duma.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was reporting online from the rally:

3:27 p.m.: The protesters call the newly elected MPs to give their mandates back. Some organizers have their absentee ballots hanging around their necks.

4:00 p.m.: Over 500 persons are in the square. Organizers are speaking from the podium, calling for a change of power and talking about violations at the elections.

4:10 p.m.: Protesters demand: "Putin, resign!"

4:33 p.m.: People in the square receive white ribbons – the symbol of fraudulent elections.

4:49 p.m.: The organizers demand new fair elections. The rally is officially closed, but people are still there.

5:04 p.m.: The protesters with their posters group together for a photo. Organizers dismantle the podium.
