The police interfered in a quarrel between the fans of "Anzhi" and "Zenit" clubs during a match in Makhachkala

During the final tour of the Championship of Russia "Anzhi" - "Zenit" members of riot squad had to interfere in the quarrel that emerged between the club fans in the tribunes of the stadium in Makhachkala. After the match several stones were thrown into the bus where members of "Zenit" were at the moment.

It should be reminded that the match was held on May, 13, and ended with a score 2:0 in favour of Petersburg team. Upon the results of the Championship "Anzhi" remained in the fifth place which allows participation in the second qualification round of the European League.

Arrival of about 300 fans of Petersburg club in Makhachkala was expected. Not long before the end of the game a squabble emerged between the fans in the sectors neighbouring to the one of the guest fans which developed into throwing chairs and a mop-up of the sector by riot squad, the "Soviet Sports" writes with photos from the site of the incident. Fiery flyers thrown from the tribunes can also be seen on the videos as well as a great number of law enforcement personnel wearing helmets calming down the fans. The game was not stooped at the moment of the incident.

The newspaper mentions that after the match several stones were thrown into the bus with members of "Zenit".

There are no official reports on the incident yet.
