Telethon of Armenian Fund "Hayastan" raised 1.4 million euros in Europe

The Armenians living in Europe have donated 1.4 million euros to the Fund "Hayastan" during the recent telethon.

The money will go to improvement and development of rural communities of the Tavush Region of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, and to help the Syrian Armenians, the press service of the Fund told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The participants of this telethon were the Armenians of France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Austria and other countries. Last year, a similar event yielded 1.3 million euros.

The largest sum was raised at the 2008 telethon – 35 million US dollars.
