Woman from Maykop accused of damaging memorial in Krasnodar

The case of a woman, a native of Maykop, the capital of Adygea, accused of damaging the Eternal Flame memorial in Krasnodar and desecrating a symbol of military glory has been brought to court, investigators have informed.

According to their version, on March 17, the 47-year-old woman, while in the state of alcoholic intoxication, threw a laid wreath into the fire in the territory of the Eternal Flame memorial complex, which, as a result, caught fire; she also lit her cigarette from the flame.

The case has been sent to court; the woman faces up to five years of freedom deprivation.
