Armenian CEC refuses to annul results of elections in Yerevan

At its sitting on May 11, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia rejected all the claims lodged by the "Heritage" Party with a demand to nullify the outcomes of the elections to the Board of Elders of Yerevan.

The CEC was also addressed by the bloc "Hello, Yerevan" with a demand to nullify the election results.

As a result, during its sitting on May 11, the CEC refused to satisfy the claims of the "Heritage" Party, as well as to initiate an administrative proceeding on the four claims lodged by Narine Nazaryan, the fiduciary of the bloc "Hello, Yerevan".

In her statement, Ms Nazaryan has noted that the Republican Party of Armenia had failed to inform the CEC about its expenditures and include them into the list of pre-election expenses, the "News.am" reports.

The decision of the CEC can be appealed by representatives of opposition parties within three calendar days, the "Erkramas" reports.
