Museum of Nagorno-Karabakh to join "Night of Museums" for the first time

On May 18, the International Museum Day, the museums of Nagorno-Karabakh will take part in the annual "Night of Museums" for the first time.

"Every year we celebrate the International Museum Day by various events, but we join the 'Night of Museums' for the first time," said Gayane Airapetyan, an Assistant Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Department of Tourism of Nagorno-Karabakh that on May 18 the archaeological museum Tigranakert would be open until late at night, but not all the night, because the staff is not sure that there will be visitors all the night, said the museum director Anayit Loretsyan.

On the International Museum Day, the State Museum of Fine Arts will hold a presentation of new paintings. "On May 18, the State Museum of Fine Arts will be donated 32 paintings from private collectors from Russia," said the director of the museum Lusine Gasparyan.
