MIA: suspect of spraying gas in school of Grozny established
The police have established the identity of the infringer, involved in poisoning the pupils of School No. 17 of Grozny. It appeared to be a pupil of the same school, said the press service of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

According to the author of the message, the incident occurred at about 6 p.m. In total, 235 children were evacuated from the territory of the school. Pupils were sent for medical examination. According to preliminary data, the mass poisoning of pupils was caused by the pepper gas, used by special units, said the spokesman of the Investigatory Department for Chechnya of the ICRF.
"Today, detectives managed to establish the alleged infringer, who sprayed the pepper gas in School No. 17, resulting in poisoning of more than 40 children and two teachers. It was a seventh grade pupil of the same school. It turned out that the teenager brought a gas bottle, which he occasionally found in the street, into the school and sprayed the gas in the hallway of the school," a police officer told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The MIA's spokesman did not name the suspect, saying only that the investigation is ongoing. It is known that the pupil's parents were also invited for interrogation.
According to the Ministry of Public Health of Chechnya, in total, 47 children and two adults have turned for medical care after the incident at School No. 17. "Now, 27 patients are still under doctors' supervision at the Children's Hospital of Grozny; 22 injured persons were discharged yesterday, and 7 more - on the day of the accident. The health condition of all of them is stable and causes no serious concern in physicians," said the spokesman of the Ministry.
