Aircraft of Russia's MfE comes to Makhachkala to pick up terror act victims
An IL-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) has flown from Moscow to Dagestan to evacuate the victims of two blasts triggered in Makhachkala.
As a result of the two explosions that took place today near the building of the Court Marshals Service in Ordzhonikidze Street in Makhachkala, four persons were killed. According to the local MIA, 44 people were injured; all of them were hospitalized depending on their specific injuries.
According to the estimates of the "Caucasian Knot", the today's terrorist attack in Makhachkala was the fourth double terror act committed in Dagestan since the beginning of 2012.
This special flight plans to bring victims to Moscow. Moscow doctors will decide on transporting the patients on the spot, based on medical records, the "RIA Novosti" reports.
The gravest victims of terror act in Makhachkala will be transported for treatment not only to Moscow, but also to Nizhny Novgorod, said a source from the press service of the Ministry of Public Health of Russia.
Now, doctors assess the condition of 12 victims as grave, of the rest of them - as of medium gravity, the "Vesti.ru" reports.
According to investigators, initially a car parked outside the court marshals' service in Makhachkala was blown up; some 15 minutes later, when detectives were already working in place, the second blast was triggered. Presumably, both explosive devices were triggered remotely.
The power of the main bomb was about 40-50 kilos of TNT (trotyl) equivalent, the official website of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports today.
