According to the Russian National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC), today, during an armed clash in the Karabudakhkent District, Magomed Abusaidov, a member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) and the leader of the Gubden grouping, was killed.

The shooting in a wooded area in the northwest of the village of Gubden, Karabudakhkent District, where the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced on May 9, occurred at night today.

According to the NAC, the murdered Abusaidov went into hiding in June 2011, along with his brother and father. "From the morning, they are bombing the forest between Gubden and Gurbuki; explosions are very strong. At six o'clock in the evening, a helicopter flew in the direction of Makhachkala. There is no military equipment in the village; it is deployed near the forest. In general, the situation is normal, people become accustomed to shooting; and children went to school today," a resident of Gurbuki told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, on condition of anonymity, about the situation near Gubden.
