Ibragim Todashev's father leaves for USA for his son's body
The father of Ibragim Todashev, who was killed during interrogation by FBI agents, received a USA visa, said Kheda Saratova, an activist of the Information Centre "Objective". Today, he flew to the USA to take the body of his son.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Orlando, Florida, at night on May 22, in the course of interrogation, the 26-year-old Ibragim Todashev was shot dead. As stated by Khusen Taramov, a friend of Ibragim, Todashev was familiar with Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the alleged perpetrators of the terror act committed in Boston. The questioning of Todashev, during which he was shot dead, was carried out in connection with the terror act in Boston and the triple murder committed in Waltham in 2011, of which Tamerlan Tsarnaev was suspected of, said the FBI. It was pointed out that Todashev was not suspected of involvement in the terror act at the marathon in Boston.
Meanwhile, it was announced on June 1, that during the interrogation the investigator made a total of 6 shots at Ibragim Todashev. Examination will define whether the nature of the wounds inflicted to Todashev meets the version that the FBI agent shot at him while trying to get to his feet.
Earlier, Paul Bresson, an FBI official, promised to thoroughly investigate the murder of Ibragim Todashev.
On May 23, the official representative of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said that Ibragim Todashev was not listed in the database of law enforcement bodies; and there is no evidence of his links with extremists.
