Two ministers and five NGO leaders not allowed in Adjaria
On March 16, armed supporters of Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze did not let Georgian Minister of Education Khakha Lomaia through the Choloki post, which is at the autonomy's administrative border. The minister's trip was concerned with the information that studies were suspended at local schools.
Moreover, the heads of five non-government organizations (NGOs) who accompanied the minister were not allowed to cross the bridge across the Choloki River either. It has also become known that Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Gogi Khaindrava tried to get to the Adjarian Autonomous Republic today but failed.
