In area of Dombay, two tourists inside Zorb fall down into gorge
One person perished and another one was injured as a result of the incident with Zorb a sort of entertainment activity that happened in the area of Dombay. Tourists from the Stavropol Territory fell down in the Gonachkhir Gorge in an inflatable orb.
On January 3, Burakov and Scherbov, two residents of the Stavropol Territory, decided to use the services of the entertainment activity of Zorb and to roll downhill in a special inflatable orb along the slope of the Mussa-Achitara Mountain.
"Entering an inflatable orb with a diameter of about 3.5 meters, Burakov and Scherbov initially were rolling downhill on the specially designated route; however, for some unidentified reasons, the ball deviated from the route and fell down into the Gonachkhir Gorge from a slope of 70-80 degrees. The Zorb orb flew a distance of about 1 kilometre and stopped on the ice covering the Peacock's Eye Lake, in the Gonachkhir Gorge," the official website of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports today.
As s results of the fall of the orb, Burakov died in the place, and Scherbov was hospitalized with serious injuries.
