National cultural center of Kabardino-Balkarian Osetins arranges conference

The national cultural center of Osetins living in Kabardino-Balkaria held a conference in Nalchik on March 21. Ramazan Sugkoyev, chairman of the center, told in his speech that 12.5 thousand Osetins live in the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria.

The national cultural center, which was registered several years ago, preserves and develops cultural and national traditions and customs of the people. Besides, the center takes active part in the republic's social and political life.

Approximately 300 delegates from Nalchik and villages that Osetins compactly reside in attended the conference. Representatives of other cultural centers of the republic as well as guests from North Osetia - Alania also took part in its work.
