Aprasidze's gang liquidated in Georgia
On March 24, special operations units of the Georgian Interior Ministry conducted a special operation in the village of Etseri, in a mountain part of Georgia's Svanetia. Three dangerous gangsters - Gocha, Omekhi and Yevgeny Aprasidze - were liquidated during the operation.
Shmagi Aprasidze was detained. According to the latest reports, he was wounded and taken to a hospital in Kutaisi. Members of Aprasidze's gang have been wanted. The operation was conducted jointly by the State Security and Interior Ministries. 10 helicopters, the Interior Ministry's special operations units, and a special operations unit of the State Security Ministry's antiterrorist center took part in the operation. It lasted 40 minutes.
Interior Minister Giorgy Baramidze and State Security Minister Zurab Adeishvili presented at the scene.
