Self-immolation attempt in Krasnodar
A young man, presumably a Caucasian, poured inflammable mixture on himself and set himself on fire in Krasnodar on April 12. The incident took place in front of the building of the regional administration. A caretaker happened to be near watering a flower-bad from a hose. He aimed a sheet of water at the man, extinguished the fire, and then called in an ambulance. The suffered man was taken to the Ochapovsky regional clinical hospital.
This is already the second case in 2004. A month ago, on the eve of the elections, a businessman who had got into difficulties made an identical attempt. He got off with singles.
