Armenian MoD reports of soldier's death as result of Azerbaijan's subversion act
Tonight, the Azerbaijani armed forces committed two subversion acts on the border with Nagorno-Karabakh. As a result, Junior Sergeant Armen Ovannisyan was killed. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence (MoD). In its turn, the Azerbaijani MoD has denied the information about the incident.
The incidents occurred within the period from 11:50 p.m. to 00:15 a.m. local time in Djraberd and Korgan. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by an official from the Department for Public Relations and Media of the Armenian MoD. "As a result of the subversion act, Junior Sergeant Armen Ovannisyan was killed in combat mission," the official has said.
According to the Armenian MoD, "the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh repulsed the enemy, and the subversive groups were thrown back."
"The Azerbaijani MoD officially states that no incident has been registered on the frontline. The information disseminated by the Armenian media is a misinformation of provocative nature," the "Trend" quotes the statement made by the Azerbaijani MoD.
