Access to Adjaria denied for Georgian Central Election Commission chairman

Chairman of the Georgian Central Election Commission Zurab Chiaberashvili was not let into the Adjarian autonomy. He himself told journalists about it, saying "several hundreds of people, including head of the Kobuleti administration Tariel Khalvashi," had waited for his car on the administrative border with Adjaria and had not let him into the autonomy. Zurab Chiaberashvili voiced hope that the leaders of the autonomy understood what they did since the frustration of the elections (Editor's note: The second round of the Georgian parliamentary elections is to be held in two Adjarian districts on April 25.) is "a penal action, for which they will have to account."
