Karabakh foreign minister sees no objective preconditions for renewal of military operations
There are no objective preconditions for the renewal of military operations in the zone of the Karabakh conflict, Karabakh Foreign Minister Ashot Gulyan said to the Russian service of Karabakh Public Radio. He emphasized that the ceasefire regime introduced in Bishkek on 12 May 1994 by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorny Karabakh was to develop into a comprehensive peace treaty, according to the agreement. Besides, "the level of fighting efficiency of the Karabakh army gives hope that the balance of forces in the region, due to which the truce is preserved, will be maintained in the future too," the minister said. In his time, Ashot Gulyan participated in the preparation of the Bishkek truce protocol.
