MfE: North Ossetia needs to open one more TAC for refugees

North Ossetia needs to open an additional temporary accommodation centre (TAC) for 100 persons to accommodate refugees. This was declared by an official from the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE). Refugees from the eastern regions of Ukraine, who have already arrived in North Ossetia, face problems with placing their children in pre-school and educational institutions.

On June 25, two aircrafts of the Russian MfE delivered to North Ossetia 188 internally displace persons (IDPs) from the Donetsk and Lugansk Regions of Ukraine. Besides, 17 children, all of them are 6-17 years old, from the orphanage house have been brought to North Ossetia from the city of Gorlovka of the Donetsk Region.

Alexander Khoruzhy, the head of the Chief Department of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, predicts that the flow of IDPs will continue to grow, According to his estimation, North Ossetia should create more than 100 places to accommodate people, who were forced to leave their homes because of combat operations in the south-east of Ukraine.

"From the first day of their arrival, we all the time communicate with people and thoroughly study all their concerns," this was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Taimuraz Kasaev, Chair of the national association of trade unions. And Taimuraz Kasaev continued: "There is a problem with kindergartens: people, who have come to us, say they need places for their kids in pre-school institutions. And later, they will face the need for places in schools for their children."

  • Intimidation with body of person killed in Chechnya becomes propaganda of cruelty

The public demonstration of the body of the killed participant in the attack on a road-and-patrol police service (known as DPS) checkpoint in Achkhoi-Martan contradicts Islam and common sense, as with such actions, the authorities are promoting cruelty and traumatizing the psyche of young people, human rights defenders and a Caucasus expert have pointed out.
