Kadyrov orders expulsion of relatives of attacker on DPS post from Chechnya

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has ordered law enforcers to expel the relatives of the organizers and the perpetrator of the attack on the road-and-patrol (DPS) police post located in Achkhoi-Martan from the republic’s territory.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kadyrov had announced that the attacker killed in the attack on the DPS post in Achkhoi-Martan was directed from abroad, and the main organizer was a citizen of Ukraine.

On April 7, sources reported an attack by an unknown person with a knife on the DPS post in Achkhoi-Martan. The Chechen Branch of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reported that the attack was committed by a "local resident"; he was shot dead by "return fire"; and at least two policemen were wounded. One of them later died.

"The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the ‘Rosgvardiya’ (Russian National Guard), together with the FSB (Federal Security Service), must expel the fathers and brothers of those who are behind this from the republic’s territory. Their property must be confiscated ... If after this they don’t stop working for Ukraine, which finances them, then other relatives must be expelled as well. The same applies to the attacker on the DPS post," the RIA “Novosti” quotes Ramzan Kadyrov as stating.

In his opinion, parents and relatives bear special responsibility for the actions of the attackers; and they must answer for their relatives’ actions.

"He’s also demanded that ‘work’ be immediately launched to confiscate their property, which will then be sold and the proceeds used for charity. The second stage, according to his version, should be held in a month, and will affect their cousins; if they ‘fail to understand and stop, ’they’ll also be subject to eviction and confiscation of all their property," the commentator lincoln has written.

According to his story, Kadyrov also stated that the policeman's killer had lived in Moscow and came to Chechnya for the Eid al-Fitr holiday. However, despite the attacker's residence in another region, a controversial decision was made to expel his Chechen relatives.

Earlier, one of Chechen oppositional Telegram channels reported that law enforcers detained all of the attacker's relatives, including his underage cousins.
