Opposition and ruling coalition in Armenia hold political consultations
The third round of political consultations "power-opposition", arranged on the initiative of chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Artur Bagdasarian, was held in the Armenian parliament on May 6.
After nearly five-hour negotiations, secretary of the opposition faction Justice Viktor Dallakian told journalists that "only political consultations to draw out the agenda of forthcoming negotiations but not the negotiations themselves were conducted today." The consultations will be hold until the agenda is finally adjusted, he added.
"30 questions concerning the agenda of the negotiations are being discussed during the consultations; 10 of them are demands made by the opposition as early as the first meeting plus some theses from the PACE resolution on the internal political situation in Armenia, including the question of holding a referendum and its legal grounds," Mr Dallakian said.
