Resident of Kizlyar fined for his comment in social networks
A fine of 50,000 roubles was imposed on a resident of the city of Kizlyar for his comment posted in a social network, which was found extremist by the court. According to the prosecution, the man called for "the destruction by an explosion of a large number of people and the President of Russia."
The suspicious comment was revealed by employees of the Dagestani MIA during the monitoring of the Internet for compliance with the law on countering the extremist activity.
As reported by the website of the Dagestani MIA, the man admitted his guilt. He was charged with public calls for extremist activity (Article 280, Part 1, of the Russian Criminal Code), where the penalties assume imprisonment for up to four years.
The Kizlyar City Court has found the man guilty and, given his three minor children, which was regarded as a mitigating circumstance, imposed on him a fine of 50,000 roubles, says the release.
