Sernovodskoe residents confirm demolition of Lulaevs' house
The house of the family of Anzor Lulaev in the Chechen village of Sernovodskoe was demolished after Lulaev himself was shot dead by law enforcers in a special operation, said a woman-villager.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 25, a man was killed in Sernovodskoe, located in the Sunzha District of Chechnya, who had opened, according to the NAC, fire on power agents. The casualty was pre-identified as a member of the "Makhauri grouping". The district was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. On December 28, the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot" received a message reading that the local resident Anzor Lulaev was shot dead in the CTO on December 25. After this, power agents burned down the Lulaevs' house in Sernovodskoe.
As reported by the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anzor Lulaev was wanted on charges of involvement in IAFs; the case against him was opened on February 29, 2012.
Let us note here that on the eve of the destruction of the house, the website of the Chechen State TV and Radio Company "Grozny" reported that Lulaev's parents were in the house during the CTO.
As of December 23, it was reported about 15 houses of militants' relatives burned down or demolished by means of heavy machinery.
