Relatives find Sabir Ibragimov in Khasavyurt IVS
Sabir Ibragimov, a resident of Khasavyurt, whose disappearance was reported by relatives on December 27, was placed into the temporary detention facility (known as IVS. Abdullah Gaziev, an advocate of the Dagestani Bar "Kavkaz", hired by Ibragimov's relatives, was not allowed to meet his client.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ibragimov, born in 1988, was detained on December 27 in Khasavyurt. According to his wife, in the evening, a Khasavyurt policeman came to their flat; and after him, "armed masked men broke into the flat." Ibragimov was taken away from home; however, the police denied that a person with such data had been brought to them.
According to Aina, Ibragimov's wife, a policeman told her that the interrogation of her husband was attended by some state advocate, invited by investigators. The woman is sure that her husband was deliberately hidden from relatives and the hired advocate in order to force him to sign the necessary testimony by means of pressure.
Law enforcers have stated that for the advocate to meet his client, a permit of the investigator is required, Gaziev has explained, adding that the requirement is illegal and that he submitted a complaint to the Investigating Committee about the policemen's actions.
A source from the Investigating Division of the Khasavyurt GOVD (City Interior Division) said that Ibragimov is suspected of aiding IAF members, but no official charges have been put forward against him yet.
