Volgograd: participants of commemoration events treat verdict on terror acts as too lenient
The verdict to figurants in the case of complicity to terror acts on December 29 and 30, 2013, in Volgograd must be toughened to the maximum, the participants of the today's memorial rally at the Volgograd railway station, questioned by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, believe.
On Monday, a mourning rally in memory of the victims of the terror act of December 29 was held at the railway station of Volgograd. It was attended by about 80 persons, including relatives of the victims, law enforcement officials, local MPs and ordinary citizens. The rally voiced out the names of all the 18 casualties of the terror act of December 29, 2013; 18 candles were lit up. After a minute of silence, the participants laid flowers at the memorial plaque.
The Volgograd terror acts hit not only the victims' relatives, but also all the citizens, said Oksana Serova, who came to the rally. She followed the trial and also disagreed with the verdict.
Another woman-participant of the action said that the figurants of the case deserved the supreme penalty.
The rally ended with a requiem, served the clergymen.
